We met the way all great love stories begin… at a bar. I (the bride) was watching friends play volleyball and generously handed out vodka shots. I turned around, saw him standing there, and asked, “Want one?” He said yes—and claims that was the moment he knew. I, however, don’t remember it at all. Classic.

At the time, he thought I was hot and wanted to shoot his shot. I wasn’t exactly interested—but life’s funny like that. We kept bumping into each other at bars, started talking more, and eventually became friends. Then best friends.

Then we slid into the unofficial era - no labels, no rules, just vibes. It wasn't defined, but it was real enough to keep us coming back. It seems the Universe (and Jealousy) had other plans for us. Turns out we actually liked each other. Like, really liked each other.

What won me over? His hilarious personality, ridiculously kind soul, and the fact that he’s the most patient human on earth. Truly. I tested it.

Fast forward a year and half later to Mexico. We were on vacation with my family and friends, posing for a silly Titanic-style photo on a platform. As I turned around to kiss him (very committed to the moment), he was down on one knee. I was completely caught off guard, started crying, and—after a dramatic pause—said yes.

Now here we are, getting married. Who would’ve thought a vodka shot and some jealousy would lead to forever?
